THE SCENARIO:

I NEED YOUR HELP!

My sister needs to be welcomed to Portland . . . .

My 21 year old sister Lois will be visiting me in Portland for graduation. When she arrives at the airport on Monday, June 1, 2009, I want to give her a big SURPRISE welcome. Last year when she came to visit, I staged a marriage proposal to her in front of a crowd. She had no idea what was coming as she walked off of the plane. Of course we are not getting married, as she is my sister . . . but she was pretty shocked.

Three years ago, my brother, Mark, and I welcomed her with a special costume. Lois especially loved the flattering photos on the welcoming sign. See video below.

THIS YEAR'S PLAN:

This year I want to do the following. Yes LOIS face masks. She will absolutely die when she sees lots of people all looking as cute as she is:

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

  • Come to the Portland International Airport on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 10:50; her flight arrives at 11:16pm (yes, almost midnight). Meet us at terminals A - C arrivals near the security check point. We will have a big sign that says WELCOME LOIS. We will give you a mask. When she arrives, lets all put on the masks and welcome her to Portland, Oregon.
  • RSVP on the counter to the right so we know about how many masks to make.
  • Invite all of your friends and family. All ages welcome. The more the merrier.
  • Shhhhh. DON’T tell LOIS.
  • I would LOVE to have a simple trumpet fanfare...or bagpipes...for LOIS' arrival. If you, or someone you know, would be willing to help, please email me at welcomeLOIS@yahoo.com
